Mandala Puja
This festival marks the culmination of the Mandala season, typically occurring in December or January. Devotees observe austerities and undertake pilgrimages to the temple during this period, culminating in special rituals and prayers on the day of Mandala Puja.
Thalappoli
Thalappoli is a unique ritual in Kerala. In the ritual, women and young girls carry thalam (plate) in their hands. Thalam is filled with rice, flowers and a lighted lamp. It is a symbol of prosperity.
