Thiruvaloor Mahadeva Temple Ernakulam

The Thiruvaloor Mahadeva Temple in Perumbavoor, Kerala, is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Chettikulangara Sree Bhagavathi Temple Ernakulam

The idol here is believed to be an Agni Pratishta, with Lord Siva's third eye open. You can see the pond situated in east direction of the temple in line with the idol, in sree kovil. It is believed that this is because, the fire emitting from the idol can be harmful to people. In order to smoothen that effect the pond is constructed in that way.

Maha Shivaratri

Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honor of Lord Shiva. It typically falls in the month of Phalguna or Maagha in the Hindu lunar calendar, corresponding to February or March in the Gregorian calendar.
