Thaipooyam

These Kavadis are often adorned with peacock feathers, flowers, and images of Lord Murugan. The devotees undertake a pilgrimage to Murugan temples, often accompanied by music, chanting, and dancing.

Skanda Shashti

During Skanda Shashti, devotees observe various rituals and practices to seek the blessings of Lord Murugan. Special prayers, pujas, and processions are organized at temples dedicated to Lord Murugan. Many devotees also observe fasting during this period as a form of penance and devotion. The festival culminates on the sixth day with special ceremonies, including the reenactment of Lord Murugan's victory over Surapadman.
