Thiruvonam

It falls on the day of the Thiruvonam Nakshatra (star) in the Malayalam month of Chingam, which usually corresponds to August or September in the Gregorian calendar. Thiruvonam is the most important day of the Onam festival, which typically lasts for ten days.
